Saint Mark's FAQ > About Saint Mark's Church > How do I become a member?

All those who worship with us on any kind of regular basis become, in a real sense, members of this community: those whose prayers, gifts and hopes are joined to the life of this parish church in a meaningful way.

Technically speaking, a 'member in good standing' of a parish is some who:

  • attends services regularly
  • receives the Blessed Sacrament
  • is a confirmed Episcopalian over the age of 18, or has been received into the church from another denomination
  • makes a pledge of financial support to the parish

Episcopalians from other parishes should speak with the clergy about transferring membership to Saint Mark's.

Those who come to us from other denominations or religious traditions and would like to consider becoming members of the Episcopal Church and Saint Mark's should speak to the clergy about preparation for Confirmation or Reception into the church. This preparation usually consists of participation in a group that meets for several weeks during Lent.
