gp-group-sm.jpgMission Projects

As a Parish Saint Marks' has recently been involved in mission work close to home at the Church of the Crucifixion at 8th and Bainbridge Streets, where we led efforts to help clean up the Church and its Parish House and to provide funding for the new roof, which was put on this past Spring.

After Hurricane Katrina wreaked so much damage on the Gulf Coast in 2005, a team from Saint Mark's, augmented by volunteer students from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine travelled to Gulfport, Mississippi to work for a week at Camp Coast Care.  Many people from the parish supported this work with their contributions.

Other recent mission work was done with Appalachian Outreach in East Tennessee where members of Saint Mark's travelled to help work on home repair projects.

Members of Saint Mark's have recently traveled with the diocesan Youth Mission Trip to Guatemala.
